Privacy Policy — TRUST DICOM Gateway

This policy explains what the Gateway stores, what it sends, and how to contact us. By installing or using the software, you agree to this policy. Site-wide policies for other products remain at privacy.html.

1. Images are processed locally

DICOM studies received from your modality, converted JPG/PDF files, retry-queue items, and application logs live on your workstation. We do not operate an image-hosting backend for this product. Medical images are not uploaded to Trust Software Solutions servers.

We cannot read patient studies unless you attach them yourself in a support email.

2. What leaves your machine

Traffic that is not image hosting on our servers:

  • Polar (api.polar.sh) — license activation and refresh: license key, a device label (hostname + machine id), and related billing identifiers. Polar’s policy: polar.sh/legal/privacy-policy.
  • WhatsApp / Telegram APIs — only if you enable them and configure tokens. Converted files and captions you choose are sent to those providers under your accounts and their privacy terms. We are not the messaging processor.
  • Automatic updates — version checks and installer downloads from our distribution URLs. These checks do not include DICOM pixel data.

You are responsible for lawful use of messaging (patient consent, clinic policy, and local health-data rules).

3. Your rights

Where GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws apply, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold (typically billing contact details). For Polar records, use Polar’s portal. To stop license checks, uninstall the Gateway and cancel Polar billing.
